Sometimes, you can find the best remedies right in your own spice rack. And CCF tea; which stands for Cumin, Coriander, and Fennel is one of the most seemingly simple yet wonderfully complex teas in the Ayurvedic world. This tea is your Digestive SOS.
Prepared as a decoction, CCF Tea enkindles agni, stimulates the digestive system, and supports the body’s ability to break down ama, or natural toxins. Gentle enough for daily enjoyment, you can sip CCF Tea throughout the day, and it’s especially beneficial before, during, or after meals to encourage absorption and assimilation of nutrients. CCF Tea also serves as an integral part of an Ayurvedic cleanse as it provides support for the natural detoxification process. Enjoy hot, or try it as a sun tea with a squeeze of lime!*
3 ounces of Loose Leaf Tea.
Ayurvedic Digest Tea
This tea is meant to be made more like a decoction, due to the nature of the ingredients (they're seeds, afterall!)
Directions: Combine 2 teaspoons of CCF Tea with 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let the tea simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat, strain, and serve!
