Sabbath Schrader, RN

Hello! My name is Sabbath Schrader, and I am a Nurse, an Ayurvedic Practitioner, and a Birth Trauma Resolution Therapist in the Des Moines, Iowa area. I'm also a small business owner, and own Sacred Health. 

I've been working in the  field of Reproductive Health with a focus on fertility and birth for over 15 years, starting my journey in Seattle, WA. I trained as a birth doula, and took a heavy case load there. I also trained on Placenta Encapsulation Services and was among the first in Seattle to offer it to birthing clients, and then brought those services to Des Moines, Iowa over a decade ago. Since then I have trained numerous doulas and Placenta Encapsulationist, became a Registered Nurse, worked for several years on a Medical/Surgical Unit and in a Community Home Visitation Program for pregnant people and their babies, and finally became a Labor and Delivery Nurse 5 years ago.

Caring for newborns and their families is my passion. And, having spent so much time around Birth, the trauma that can and often does surround that life-altering event can be extremely challenging for both Baby and Birthing Person. Sacred Health was designed to be a safe place to bring your trauma, be honest about your needs, and righteously self-identifying.
